12 New Trains Coming To Sofia’s Metro

Bulgaria’s municipally-owned Sofia subway system operator Metropoliten said on Thursday it has opened a 66 million levs ($41.7 million/33.7 million euro) tender for the overhaul of up to 12 subway trains.

The contract envisages the overhaul of two trains and an option for Metropoliten to request the overhaul of up to ten more trains, depending on whether it manages to secure the necessary financing, Metropoliten said in a tender notice.
