Acronis acquires the Bulgarian company T-Soft, which will change its name to Acronis Bulgaria. The aim is to expand their activities on the European market, with the engineering team of the company reaching 300 people. The company plans to invest a total of $50 million over the next three years. The deal has already been entered into the Commercial Register as the buyer is the Acronis AG registered in Switzerland.
The two companies have a common business together since 2012. Acronis works mainly in the areas of cyber-security and hybrid cloud services, while Bulgarian T-Soft offers a broad portfolio of services in the field of software testing.
The products will be developed in Sofia and will focus on data protection as well as the creation of teams to deal with web technologies. The company began to search for IT specialists.
Acronis was founded by Sergei Belousov in Singapore in 2003, and in 2008 it was registered in Switzerland. Its products are sold in more than 150 countries.
