More than 58% of Bulgarians believe the war in Ukraine cannot be resolved through military means, according to a representative Sova Harris poll commissioned by the newspaper Trud and conducted between September 23 and 28.

High prices and inflation were identified as the most serious problem facing the country by 53.7% of those surveyed.

Regarding the performance of Prime Minister Rumen Radev’s cabinet, 34.8% of respondents described its governance as rather successful, while 44.6% gave the government a rather successful rating. Another 20.6% said they were undecided.

A total of 58.4% agreed with Radev that the war in Ukraine has no successful military solution and that EU leaders should establish diplomatic contacts with Russia. Some 18% disagreed with that position, while 23.6% were undecided.

The poll also found that 46.5% believe Ukraine should reach a peace agreement with Russia by accepting territorial concessions. A total of 26.1% expressed the opposite view, while 27.4% remained undecided.
