Bulgaria will see mostly sunny weather on Saturday and relatively mild conditions during Sunday’s presidential election, before temperatures fall below seasonal averages next week.

On Saturday, the day of reflection ahead of the presidential vote, fog and poor visibility may develop during the morning in some areas, especially near bodies of water, as well as in lowlands and basins.

On Sunday, October 25, when Bulgarians vote for president, morning fog will again be possible. Cloud cover will vary during the afternoon, with frequent sunny spells.

Cloudier conditions are forecast along the Black Sea coast and in southwestern Bulgaria, where isolated areas may experience light rain or drizzle. Election-day highs will range from 15 to 20 degrees, keeping autumn weather relatively mild across most of the country.

From Wednesday of the following week, temperatures are expected to fall below seasonal norms, Matev said. Daily highs will reach 11–16 degrees, while overnight lows will approach zero.
