It is time to roll up our sleeves and make Bulgaria a country with medium levels of vaccination, at least. We announce a positive incentive for every Bulgarian over 65 years.

This was announced by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, who presented the incentives for vaccination and the strategy of the new cabinet to counter COVID-19, a BGNES reporter reported.

We are starting a program for a supplement of BGN 75 to the pensions for everyone who decides to be vaccinated in the coming months and for everyone who has already been vaccinated on the basis of three doses. We are opening the program from the beginning of January to June 30, the Prime Minister announced.

It is estimated that if we manage to vaccinate 300,000 people over the age of 65, this should alleviate hospitals by a very significant percentage.

This is a voluntary measure. Everyone has the right to their own health and the decision whether to get vaccinated or not, but we also have a public responsibility, said Kiril Petkov in his short statement in the building of the Council of Ministers.
